Commissions

Last Updated: 18.12.09
I accept commissions for figures from all wargaming ranges and I do not exclusively paint any one range. You can contact me by clicking the button below or by going to the contact me page on this site. I always answer all questions and queries, and I usually get back to you the same day. We sadly no longer offer a painting service for larger commissions such as squads, regiments or armies. Prices will be determined on a case by case basis. When emailing me, please include as detailed description as possible of what you would like, including color scheme, basing requirements, weapon layouts, posing, etc. in order for me to give an accurate quote. There is price guide below as a rough guide for you. If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please email me by clicking here: The following list provides basic starting points for some generic model categories, to give you an idea of what to expect. Prices include cleaning, assembly, painting to a high display standard, packaging materials, but not shipping costs nor the costs of the models themselves. This list assumes 28mm scale figures. Email me for model painting prices from other scales.

I purchase the miniature when we have both agreed on the commission. This means that the mini is my property until I have received cleared payment in full. Please note that it generally takes 7 to 14 days for me to receive the miniatures and with Forgeworld kits this may take a lot longer. I do not accept models for painting that have been paint stripped, as it could effect the quality of the finshed painting. I do not accept recast miniatures. All miniatures should have been purhased from the respective manufacturer, in cases where I buy the models on your behalf I always retain the receipt/ invoice as proof. Please do not try to pass off recast miniatures as the real thing as i have been collecting models for a long time and if I spot a dodgy mini I will pass them on, along with your contact details to the respective manufacturer. I do not accept converted minis as commission pieces unless they are converted by myself. If you have an idea for a conversion please feel free to email me and we can discuss the project. Full payment is required after the commission is complete together with full payment for postal costs to send the commission to you. Payment needs to be received within 2 working days of the invoice, unless prior arrangements have been made with me at the beginning of the commission. If payment has not been received within the agreed time, I reserve the right to make the model available for sale to another client or on eBay. No refund of the deposit will be given. Within the UK, I only ship via Royal Mails 'Special Delivery' service. Postage is always figured on a case by case basis but as a guide my basic shipping price for a single figure includes Delivery Confirmation and Insurance up to £500, and is £4.75, which is the actual cost - there is no "Paypal fee" or "handling fee". (Figures above are based on weight of package being less than 500g). Worldwide, I ship via Royal Mails Airmail service or International Signed For depending on the value of the commission, these prices will be figured on a case by case basis. If you would prefer a different method of shipping (FedEx, UPS, etc), that can be agreed upon individually as well. I have not had any problems shipping with the Royal Mail, but cannot guarantee the safety of models. I do everything in my power to ensure that the models will arrive to you safely, but cannot accept responsibility for damages that occur through Royal Mails mishandling, which is why I suggest insuring every piece for its full value. In the unlikely event that any damage does occur, I will be happy to repair it for you if it is sent back to me, but a full refund cannot be given. I do not give timescales as a rule because as with most commission painters whatever we tell you will undoubtedly be wrong! I want to paint all my work to the same high standard and be proud of the work I send out to you so I do not accept work from people who need it done by a certain date.... Sorry! I reserve the right to photograph any of my work, including commissions and to display them on my web site, or use them as part of advertisement. This can attest to the time and effort I will put into each piece I work on, as I will be proud to show them off. Sadly, individuals have recently been entering competitions with figures they did not paint and claimed them as their own work. This is fraud. And with such a large and well-informed online community these things will always come to light. I always mark all of my work with signature and date. If you purchase something from me (Commission or eBay Auction) then you agree not to enter it in any competitions or claim any of my work (conversion/ painting etc.) as anything other than that of Voodooworx.
